In this small district, which is located 700 m above sea level, we can enjoy of serenity and nature. In its origins, it was called La Piscina (The Pool), because was situated in the same place as the Romanesque Church of Santa María de la Piscina. During the XIV Century was devastated by the Enrique Trastamara’s army, who ordered to burn the suburbs and villages around San Vicente, because he could not conquered the San Vicente’s castle.

The San Martin’s parish church, situated in the upper town, is the most remarkable sight. Access can be done through the stairway leading to the ancient panning site.

In the sorroundings, we can find the archaelogical remains of Santa Maria de la Piscina, the Dolmen of Cascaja and the press and rock winery of Zabala. These are part of a small itinerary path with dolmens and hermitages.
